Submissions
Smalldoggies Magazine is now accepting online submissions. Short Stories, Poems and Other Unsolicited Creative Writing Submissions will be sent to us via our page at Submishmash. Go there, register (brief process), and then follow the guidelines. For snail mail, which we also accept: Short stories should be sent by mail to the Fiction Editor, poetry to the Poetry Editor, and artwork to the Art Editor, at the following address:

Manuscript Queries
Please allow three months for a response for fiction and nonfiction and six months for a response for poetry submissions. If, after that time, you have not heard back about your submission, send an email here:

be sure to write “query” in the subject heading. Include your city, state, the approximate date when you sent your manuscript, and whether the piece was fiction or poetry, or something else.

You cannot subscribe online as of yet. When eventually you will be able to, please note that there may be a lag of up to one month between the date you placed your subscription order and the date you receive your first issue. If you have a question about your order, please send an email to:

If possible, include in your query the invoice number, the date on which you placed the order, what the order was for, and your name and address.
